Description

This hike is named after "Dirty" Harry Fancher, a logger and mountaineer known for his rugged exploits in the region.

The trail leads to a scenic viewpoint known as Dirty Harry's Balcony, which provides stunning vistas of the Snoqualmie River Valley and the surrounding Cascade Mountains. The trailhead is accessible from the Dirty Harry's Peak trailhead, located off Exit 38 on Interstate 90.

The trail begins with a gentle ascent through a dense forest, characterized by towering conifers and lush undergrowth, but higher up the trail becomes steeper and rockier, reflecting the rugged nature of the terrain.

Along the way, remnants of old logging equipment and the occasional rusted cable can be seen, evidence of the area's logging history.

Upon reaching Dirty Harry's Balcony, you'll be greeted with expansive views of the Snoqualmie Valley and the surrounding peaks.

The balcony is a natural rock outcrop that offers a perfect spot for taking in the scenery and enjoying a well-deserved rest.

On clear days, the views are particularly breathtaking, showcasing the beauty of the Cascade Range.
