Description

The Beauty and the Beast - This is in all aspects a royal stage, a strenuous ride through the heart of the Dolomites, where the breathtaking mountain views have to be worked out on sometimes beastly ramps.

From the Kreuzkofel near Sankt Vigil, the route leads through the Gadertal to the Grödnerjoch and on to the steep walls of the Sellagruppe.

Continuing on the casual trails of the Sellaronda on to the Sellajoch at the foot of the Langkofels.

With the view of the Marmolada, the highest peak of the Dolomites, the route now rapidly descends into the Fassatal.

After a few kilometres in the valley floor, the final ascent to the Rosengarten begins.

It’s the kingdom of King Laurin, who, according to an eerily beautiful legend, is responsible that the walls of his rock castle glow so gloriously red in the evening sun.

Nevertheless, before the sunset everyone should be on the Carezza Trail.

The hot freeride descent circles through the forest, which slowly starts to be covered in darkness by then.

Down below the route leads on earthy and stony cart tracks.

So even on this exhausting stage full concentration is required until the finish.

However, more biking is not possible!
