Description

Lakeside Trails - From the heart of the big city Trento it goes up into the Valle dei Laghi.

It’s the local recreation area of the Trentino people with the nearest lake to the city, the Lago di Terlago.

From the lakeside, a trail leads up to Lago Santo and Lago di Lamar at the very end of Valle dei Laghi.

This is surrounded by the Abisso di Lamar, the rocky precipice above Trento and the Etschtal.

Further, the route leads along small forest paths and trails in constant change of underground and gradient – like cross-country route - to Lon.

Up to this point, the route is very exhausting.

There are lots of short ramps, waiting to be conquered with full power.

So you shouldn't underestimate the elevation profile up to kilometre 37, the ups and downs are quite challenging.

However, the rest is comparatively easy to work off - almost a panorama ride in an enchanting landscape.

The road climbs gently up to the scienic point above Lago di Toblino - with Castello Toblino on a peninsula in the lake, a popular title and postcard motive.

Finally, Lake Garda can be seen - only 20 kilometres further south.

But the route makes a bend and the gravel path circles Monte Gazza with a deep view high above the Sarca canyon until it crosses the road at the small Lago di Nembia.

The last kilometres to the finish along the shore of Lago di Molveno are pure pleasure and the arrival at the beach of the turquoise mountain lake against the scenery of the mighty Brenta is just marvellous.
