Description

Short stop at Val di Sole - On day six it is finally time to take a breather, cos compared to the previous days, this elevation profile is a relief.

It goes again over the Mortirolo, but coming from Aprica over the panorama road it is not as steep and long as the day before.

Although almost 1000 metres of altitude have to be overcome again, they are in a wavy profile with ups and downs, spread over 28 kilometres of length.

From Mortirolo, the descent leads down to Val Camonica and on to Passo Tonale, which is not an ascent from this side either.

The rapid descent on the road, which is not very winding, ends again in Val di Sole, where an unusual last climb begins.

From Ossana, only a 1.5 kilometre gravel road leads up to Valpiana.

This is the place to refuel up in the forest.

It is casual, close to nature and quiet, this fits exactly to this comparatively relaxed sixth stage.
