Getting started on the 6 Stage variation, ride the Vercorin - Crêt du Midi gondola.

Quick kilometers on dirt road quickly change to trail.

You'll merge with the the full version of the Via Valais track during the climb to the Col de la Tsevalire just before reaching Becs de Bosson.

From Becs de Bosson, it’s a rapid descent to the Lac de Lona, a short climb to the pass, Basset de Lona, and over into the Moiry Valley. After running the length of the Lac de Moiry, the first day of the 6-Stage route finishes with a climb along the moraine to reach the Moiry Hut at 2825 meters.
