Description
A normal Sunday morning at the Stubai Glacier.
Thousands of winter sports enthusiasts are fighting for a piece of piste - a hustle and bustle.
It's quiet here.
We are standing in a 50° steep channel.
Meter by meter we work our way up to the 3353 m high Aperer Pfaff.
As the crow flies, only a few hundred metres away from the hustle and bustle of the skiing area, and yet a completely different world.
Due to the northwestern exposure of the steep face, the snow is perfect despite the advanced season.
The 400 meters long flank is behind us after a short time.
The atmosphere at the summit is unique.
Sun, silence and the fascinating view of a channel filled with powder.
The first swings are hard to describe with words.
Fast turns in 50° steep terrain.
The snow is dusty.
Full control - unfortunately only much too fast past.
A day that motivates us again for new steep walls and new projects! Ski touring equipment - Crampons - Rope - Ice tools (not absolutely necessary!) - LVS equipment
