Around the Ankogel ski area there are a number of great freeride and touring possibilities.

The Luggescharte is one of the more challenging destinations here and, due to its 350m ascent, is perhaps more of a ski tour than a freeride tour.

But the effort is worth it for the wonderful descent! Standard ski touring equipment with shovel, probe and avalanche transceiver.

Also ideal for freeride equipment (Duke or similar).

Ascent without touring binding and skins possible in good conditions, although a bit tiring.
