Description

This round tour leads from the small village of Prigglitz to the Gahns, a foothill of the Schneeberg.

The hike first leads to the Gahnshauswiese, where you will be rewarded with a magnificent view of the Raxalpe in fair weather.

We continue to the Tobelwiese and the Rote Wand.

At the lookout, directly at the cliffs of the Rote Wand, there is a summit book.

We descend past the Pottschacherhütte.

The hut is open from 1 April to 31 December (Mondays and Tuesdays off - except public holidays) and also offers a mattress camp.

Back to Prigglitz you either go through the Langtal or via Gasteil, where you have the opportunity to admire works of art at Gut Gasteil. Snowshoes, rucksack with rations, winter-suitable hiking boots, light, mobile phone, lighter, mapsFor small breakdowns in equipment, a cable tie or a piece of wire is often enough for a makeshift repair.

It is recommended that you always carry basic avalanche equipment in the mountains.
