Description

From the hotel 1,175m over the 1T trail, climb to the Niger Refuge.

The trail will take us through the snow-blanketed woods for about 2 hours up into the mountains.

Once at the Niger Refuge, we can enjoy a cup of hot tea.

Finally we will head eastward and follow the forest trail and then the natural toboggan run uphill to the Baumannschweige fork.

Following the signs we will soon reach the shepherd's refuge standing in a clearing in the woods.

From there on the trail climbs steeply up to the right over bends to the Angel meadows.Once there we can appreciate the marvelous view to the Schlern and Tschamin Peaks.

Above us the Vajolet Peaks and the majestic Laurin wall with the Gartl - King Laurin's Rose Garden.

Now we can start the descent back to the Plafötsch meadow and then over the Traun meadow to the hotel.

With a bit of luck we can meet chamois and other wild animals.
