With its breathtaking view of the Grand Bec and the Glaciers de la Vanoise, this itinerary offers very steep slopes for good skiers but shortened, it can also be very well suited for initiation.

Description

Starting at the lower station of the Champagny cable car in Vanoise (alt.

1250 m), the route first follows the 200 m "des Bois" alpine ski slope.

Then leave it to follow the "summer road" through the hamlets of "La Traye" (alt.

1350 m) and reach the one of "Combes D'en Haut" (alt.

1580 m).

We continue on a wide track which crosses a valley bordered by forest and which leads under the alpine ski slope of the Mont de la Guerre.

By gentle climbs alternating portions of forest and meadows, we always climb along the edge of this track.
