Description

If you're pushed for time but want a quick workout and some fresh air, look no further.

Easily accessible from Chamonix centre but surprisingly peaceful, the Argentière Cross Country Ski Track is well worth seeking out.

There's actually a maze of tracks in Argentière so consider this route a fun suggestion for getting to know the area rather than a set itinerary.

Begin in Les Îles and follow the natural shape of the valley north-east through farms and past the village of Les Chosalets (which is where you need to buy a ticket for the track if you don't have a season pass) into the forests above the Grands Montets ski area carpark.

Traverse these forests, passing through a tunnel under a ski piste at one point, all the way to the eastern end of Chemin de La Moraine in Argentière village, and then reverse the route back to Les Îles.
