Tignes and Val d’Isere’s purpose-built mountain bike trails are some of the best you’ll find anywhere.
The "Smoothie" trail, new in 2017, is probably the smoothest and easiest trail at the bike park! It's ideal for youths, beginners, and families.
That said, you still need to know how to ride a mountain bike in a mountain area in order to be comfortable on this trail.
The route takes you from the top of the Palafour chairlift back to the Tignes resort hub beside the lake and the bottom of the lift...
in case you want to head up for another go.
If you’re thinking, “Pah, who wants to ride a mere green?” The answer is, "anyone with any sense, that’s who," because the trails are so well designed that whilst a novice can have fun and learn on them, an expert can absolutely blast on them, and have just as good a time as the newbie.
Smoothie is mostly smooth, machine-groomed, with a slightly wider trail tread, with a gentle downhill gradient.
There aren't any steep parts, no jumps, and no technical sections.
You'll get to enjoy many bermed turns, but they are all very easy with wide tracks, and aren't too steep. The park lifts are open from the end of June to the end of August.
