Perhaps THE classic Chamonix destination for kids in the summer.

A very short walk along an easy, wide forest path (suitable for push chairs) takes you to the Paradis des Praz a small clearing with picnic benches and plenty for kids to do. There is a playground, a shallow stream to play in, donkey rides, goats, a cafe (cash only) and plenty more in the forest to explore. There are plenty of options to extend the walk along the flat or up in to the forest for the more energetic.
