Description

Our tour begins very easy, first with a slight descent along the pass road and later on an elevated path along the eastern flank of the Pazzolastock until we reach the road to the Maighelshütte.

Now we are well warmed up for the almost 300 meters up to the *Maighelshütte*.

The interesting landscape in Plidutscha, the first crossing of the very young Rhine and a small clear mountain lake make us forget the effort.

Only the last meters to the hut still have it in itself.

Then we'll have a good time on the terrace.

In front of us lies a magnificent mountain panorama with glaciers and lakes. If we then start in the direction of the Lolenpass, we unfortunately have to give up 60 altitude metres before we tackle the last 150 altitude metres.

But now we can enjoy.

The mossy plain of the *Lolenpass* slopes gently towards the Unteralp valley.

We continue down to an alp and shortly afterwards we reach the hairpin bends for the last descent.

A whole 48 times we are sent back and forth until we reach the bottom of the valley. On the alp road to *Andermatt* it is a matter of staying the course.

But if we take a dip in the brook on the way, we can easily make the last stretch.

The Matterhorn Gotthard Railway takes us back to the starting point on the Oberalp Pass. If we don't need isotonic drinks, we can start without water.

It has enough clear and clean mountain streams underwgs.
