Description

Beautiful trails lead the runners along the Höhenpromenade.

At the beginning you follow the traces of Empress Elisabeth on the Sissi circuit.

Sensational views of Lake Zell, the Kitzsteinhorn glacier ski area, the Großglockner and many other breathtaking mountain worlds await you.

From here the adventure trail runs past the Hochzeller Alm, the Gratsenke and the Salersbachköpfel to the Sonnkogel.

Here is the turn - back the trail runs partly on a forest road and again on cool trails.

Passing the Schmittenhöhe, the trail meanders a few metres downhill to the Breiteckalm.

From the Breiteck, the route leads a few metres down the valley via a ski path towards the Glocknerhaus.

Here we return via the hiking trail to Pfaffenkendelsteig, which is very popular even in hot weather due to its sheltered forest location.

Just above the Kettingalm you should still have a few grains left, from here it's only uphill towards your destination back to the Schmittenhöhe.
