Description

Also south of the wine plain you will find on this stage of the Koralm Kristall Trail smaller rock ovens, such as the gneiss wine oven.

The largest lithium deposit in Europe is concealed inside the fire ridge on which skiers cavort in winter.

In the area of the Grillitsch hut, bright blocks of pegmatite and marble accompany you on your way. Already from the Grillitschhütte you can see the blocks of bright white quartz, the most important raw material for the production of forest glass in the 17th and 18th century, on the Koralpe, visible from afar from the Sprungkogel.

In the Great Kar we soon encounter a rock face on the left, which has long been called "Gedrahter Stan" and under which a spring rises.

The Schwarzen Sulm springs springing on the east side of the chicken prop also come from marble and provide the best drinking water for Deutschlandsberg.

The marble acts as a water reservoir. Please note the opening hours of the establishments/huts.

Always take enough food with you. equipment A real backpack pack makes a lot of things easier: pack heavy things first.
