Description

Take the gondola from Bad Ragaz to the starting point Pardiel.

Start climbing along the beautiful Edelweiss steles until you reach the station of the chairlift "Schwamm" (winter operation only).

From this highest point of the route, follow the descending trail to Suntigweidsee, where beach chairs invite you to linger.

Pass the lake and follow the path until the fork (wooden signpost).

At the fork, turn right towards the valley and shortly after towards the viewpoint Schwarzbühl, where an overwhelming panorama over Churfirsten, Rhine Valley and Bündner Herrschaft awaits you.

On the trail back to Pardiel, you will surely meet some goats.

Back in Pardiel you can take the gondola back into the valley or enjoy a refreshment in the Edelweiss Restaurant. This trail is particularly suitable for new, returning, and pleasure runners. Tip: We recommend a slow entry into this trail to prevent your muscles from acidifying during the first ascent.
