"Just incredible!" This is what it sounds like when hikers, after a strenuous 1000-metre ascent, enjoy the view of the Bernese Alps standing on the Brienzergrat.
Truly an indescribable feeling.
The hike from Ringgenberg to the ridge and on to Harder Kulm is a strenuous day tour.
One could also spend the night in the Balmhütte, which is not guarded.
The hut hides under a rocky promontory, directly under the Brienzergrat - where the abyss seems deep and the Brienzersee all the bluer. On the way to the Harder the hike inspires with beautiful views to the Wetterhorn, Schreckhorn, Finsteraarhorn up to the Eiger, Mönch and Jungfrau.
This view is not rare in itself, but combined with the deep view to the emerald blue Lake Brienz it is unique. equipment Normal hiking equipment, sturdy mountaineering boots.
