Description

After a few meters we are in the midst of nature: The sound of Breitach in our ears and with an eye on the Schafalpköpfe at the end of the valley we enter the Wildental.

Once we have the first climbs behind us, we are completely surrounded by pastures and flower-filled meadows.

We walk towards the Innere Wiesalpe before soaking up the splendid view: time for a cheese plate or apple pie on the terrace! Afterwards, a bubbling brook accompanies us to Fluchtalpe (Escape Alp).

If you continue following the stream, you can watch the waterfall plunging from the rock at the end of the valley up close.

We also recommend a stop at the Fluchtalpe with its idyllic terrace.

Occasionally, a young calf dares come closer and eyes the guests with curiosity.

The return is entertaining: We marvel at the panorama reaching from the Walmendingerhorn to parts of Mittelberg and the Gottesackerplateau.

After the Untere Wiesalpe we are offered deep looks into the ravine through which the river is raging now.

In the last section, we can catch glimpses down to Baad and the posterior valley, before we go up again to the center of Mittelberg.

There is lots of opportunity to rest : Thanks to many shaded and sunny wooden benches. equipment Sturdy shoes and hiking poles for steep sections recommended.
