The 13th stage of the trail along the Vienna Alpine Arc (WAB) is a humid alpine adventure. The first kilometres in Höllental run along the Wiener Wasserleitungsweg, from Kaiserbrunn the ascent towards Schneeberg begins, accompanied by steep mountain forest and rock faces.

Description

The first Schneeberg stage, starting in Payerbach or Reichenau, leads via Kaiserbrunn and the Miesleitensteig uphill to the Friends of Nature House.

The Knofeleben has its name, by the way, because in this area bear's garlic (which tastes like "Knofel" = garlic) grows abundantly.

This section is an alpine mountain adventure in terms of landscape and technique: rushing water, steep mountain forest, rock faces, climbing facilities, seclusion.
