The 12th stage of the trail along the Vienna Alpine Arc (WAB) is accompanied by alpine lawns, mountain pines and rugged, safe terrain. A wonderful plateu hike with moderate ascents and descents. The way into the valley can be shortened with the Rax cable car.

Description

Starting from the Habsburg House, the stage runs for the most part along near-natural hiking trails, paths and paths over the Trinksteinsattel, the Hohe Kanzel, the Jakobskogel and leads from the Otto House first steeply then gently down to Hirschwang, Reichenau and Payerbach.

Along the entire route you can enjoy breathtaking panoramas and from halfway down the descent great views of villas and the Wartholz castle nursery. It is possible not to descend from the Ottohaus on foot but to continue hiking to the Rax cable car and to master the descent with the cable car.
