Description

Bernies Bowl is a small east and south facing bowl near the northern end of the ski area.

Ski Estelle Bowl and at the bottom of the main Estelle Bowl traverse left (north) and hike up a few steps to Bernie's Bowl.

You will pass over a ridge with some trees that divides Bernie's from Estelle.

Don't be out here too late in the day in the spring as this area gets a lot of sun and the snow can get too soft or mushy.

From the bottom of Bernie's Bowl ski fall line down towards the Kangaroo chair and the base area.

This run is named after Bernie Kingery, former Alpine Meadows mountain manager who passed away in the 1982 avalanche.
