Description

Cross from the Serftal Valley to the Grosstal Valley via the Richetli Pass, through the impressive Kärpf Massif and the Hausstock.

The mountain trail climbs steeply up from Elm through a mix of open alpine pastures and thick woodland until it reaches Ämpächli village.

You then continue along a winding alpine road through colourful flowering meadows and pastureland, and across a fast-flowing stream.

The path then keeps climbing up and up, peaking at Chüetel, where you can stop to enjoy the fabulous panoramic views of the Erbser Stock Ridge.

Now comes the descent: first through marshland, to flowering meadows, on down an old sheep track, and along an alpine ridge through a rocky passage before opening up into the Hinterdurnachtal Valley.

Head in the direction of the Hausstock Mountain, which looms large at the end of the valley, following the path along the stream into the woodland, which eventually brings you to the little village of Linthal! **Sources** http://www.via-alpina.org/en/stage/110
