Description

The impressive mountain formations rise on Lofoten from the sea to the sky.

The region around Sørvågen has a number of interesting walks on well signposted paths and trails.

The hike to Munkebu is relatively easy and goes there and back for about 10km.

The pure walking time is about 4 hours, but you need much more time if you want to enjoy the landscape and nature. At Djupfjordheia the way to the summit is signposted.

Who has strength and desire can still take this excursion with him. If you are a member of Det Norske Turistforeningen you can borrow the key to the Munkebu cabin at the tourist information office in Sørvågvatnet.

From there you can make a beautiful day hike to the sparsely signposted summit of Hermannsdalstinden (1,029 m.a.s.l.). equipment You should take sturdy shoes, an extra layer, rain gear and enough to eat with you.

You can also drink from the waters along the way.
