Description

Thunderbird Traverse is the only way to get from the top of Mary Jane Mountain to the bottom of the Eagle Wind lift (except for Parsenn Bowl and Village Way via Belle Forche, which is rarely open).

This trail is a narrow traverse in the trees.

If you hang a right when you first get on the trail, there are awesome shorty trees (The Gnome Forest) to ride.

Don’t wait too long to make that right or you end up in a flat meadow and get stuck! This tree run ends up on Village Way, a groomed green, and you will be heading back to Winter Park instead of Eagle Wind Territory, but on a huge pow day when everything else is tracked up, it could be worth it.
