Description

South Basin is the most south of the tree skiing areas below the Cirque, and the least tree'd-out of those options.

It’s steep, but not as steep as headwalls or chutes.

There is more room for turns, and more width between the trees.

There is also more traffic here (less freshies and more bumps) because it is the most accessible and least tight.

South Basin merges with Upper Egress – a narrow traverse that takes you back to the Eagle Wind Lift.

When the Cirque is open, do laps off the Cirque down to the Eagle Wind lift, then take it back up and ski down to the Panoramic Express before circling back to the Cirque.
