Description

Nowhere in Switzerland does it rain as little as in the Vispa valley.

The area is so dry that hardly any vegetation would thrive here.

If the water doesn't come from above, you have to get it on another way.

That's what the first settlers who showed up here in the Middle Ages said.

With irrigation ditches they led glacier water to the flank of the Seetalhorn.

In this way they transformed the once dry steppes of Grächen into a green landscape.
