Description

Sluice Box is a short, gladed black bump run that is awesome on a pow day! Veer left on the Super Gauge Trail near the top and drop in anywhere.

The snow can be pretty crusty and windblown near the top, but the farther down into the trees you go, the creamier the snow.

If you go too far, you’ll be dropping into Pine Cliffs, which has tighter trees.

You can stay in the trees to finish up with Pine Cliffs or pop out onto Upper Arrowhead or Super Gauge Trail.

A sluice box is a long, sloping trough with grooves on the bottom into which water is directed to separate the gold from the gravel when mining.
