Description

Starting point is the small village of Baad in the rear Kleinwalsertal.

At the beginning we hike along a wide path into the valley of the Turabach.

Later, the route takes steep serpentines up to the pastures of the Starzelalpe (1750m).

Depending on the weather and the underground we have the possibility to climb up to the Starzljoch (1867m) and enjoy the view into the Bregenzerwald mountains.

Or we make a small detour to the Ochsenhofer Scharte (1800m), which leads into the Schwarzwassertal.

From here the southern crashes of the Hohe Ifen look particularly impressive.

On the following hike without big difference in altitude, but with the most beautiful view of the Widderstein and the Allgäuer mountains, you approach the Stieralpe and the Lüchlealpe close to the Walmendinger Horn, which you could reach via the gravel ramp of the winter ski run.

However, we choose the descent on good paths down to the Stutzalpe, which certainly calls the most beautiful old farmhouses its own.

The excellent cheese, which we can also visit and buy in the ripening cellar, also contributes to the cosy retreat.

The rest of the descent to Baad and to the bus does not make any more difficulties and completes this tour even more harmoniously. equipment Tight mountain boots over the ankles! Rucksack with catering and running sticks if necessary
