Description

The heights, which rise high and steep in the east above the valley of Sölden, divide the very deeply cut Windachtal into two sections. In the southern area, at Brunnenberg, you will find a particularly panoramic and picturesque landscape, and on the way from Zwiesel-stone you will be amazed by the unobstructed views. A goal of its own kind is the Brunnenkogelhaus, which at the proud height of 2738 m is enthroned on a promontory, the Vorderen Brunnenkogel. Short round trip: In Zwieselstein just before the bridge over the Gurgler Ache turn left and next to the stream up to the last house.

On beautiful, mostly open areas above the valley, which is now cut into as a gorge, to a junction after about 30 minutes. Over the steep step through the rock diagonally upwards to the right to a crossing path.

On it in a wonderful panoramic hike to the north, partly through very steep slopes, partly on small terraces to the Brunnenbergalm (1888 m) and further to the hut of the same name (Falkner, 1972 m) on a small area. Way back: down to the nearby Stabelealm and on foot - always on the left path at the branches - through woods and clearings far down to Innermoos.

At a wayside shrine we immediately keep left again and pass through the Kühtrainschlucht (gorge) - picturesque terrain - de with boulders etc.

- back to Zwieselstein. Brunnenkogelhaus (2738 m): Directly from the Brunnenbergalm first in the area of the ridge over pastures, later in the west-sided Slopes, occasionally in very steep terrain, to this uri gen hut in incomparable location (good 2 hours ascent). If you like, you can still climb up to the nearby Hinteren Brunnenkogel (2775 m, 15 min.). Big round: From the Brunnenbergalm the path leads north along a forest road in the forest to the first junction, here right uphill through the slope, then on a path in bends down to the Windachtal (1790 m) and over there up to the valley road near the Lochlealm. Right here on a footpath further up, then across the slope to the next driveway.

On it either up to the Kleblealm (1983 m, 1¾ Std.) or gently down to the Stallwiesalm. From both alpine pastures on wide footpaths down to Granbichl and Sölden (just under 1½ Std.) and return by bus to Zwieselstein. equipment Backpack, drinks, jacket and hiking boots.
