Description

This line its really easy to access but difficult to ski! The entrance is just behind the Salati cable car.

When you exit the lift station go on your right, you will see that there is a slope closed with a rope.

Pass the rope and keep to your left side stepping for a few meters on your left and you'll see a bowl that marks the couloir entrance.

The entrance could be sketchy because of some rocks, but then if the snow is good it's pure freeride! The couloir is 150m long and ends in the upper Balma.

It's a nice line to ski when Balma is tracked because usually there's still good snow in here to be skied! The couloir is exposed to the winds so carefully check the snowpack! Check the cornice before skiing down, if it was windy in the past days and there is a cornice it could be a dangerous signal since wind affected snow into the couloir could cause a slab! The safe option is to break the cornice to see if something happens or use a 20 meters rope so you can carefully check the snowpack inside.
