This is a popular hiking route which is generally considered to be difficult. It's remote, it features high exposure and is typically done between November and April. From a low point of 372 m to the maximum altitude of 2.2 km, the route covers 28 km, 917 vertical metres of ascent and 2390 vertical metres of descent.
Description
Helicopter to Bevan Col on the edge of the Bonar Glacier. A journey of change, the land beneath your feet evolves from snow and ice, exposed rock and lush forest floor, onward to grassy paddocks, and braided riverbeds.
