If you are looking for a fun, fast mountain bike ride in Derby, Tasmania, you should check out the Return to Sender shuttle run. This ride takes you to the top of the new Return to Sender trail, where you can enjoy a smooth and flowy ride with lots of rock slabs and berms.

Description

The ride starts from the main street of Derby, where you can hop on a shuttle bus that will take you to the drop-off point on Cascade Dam Road. From there, you can hop on your bike and enjoy the mostly downhill ride on Return to Sender. This trail is 5.72 km long and passes through tall eucalyptus forests and dense pockets of tree-ferns. It has gentle to moderate gradients and lots of rock slab features that are fun to roll over or jump off. The trail is rated as more difficult, but it is suitable for intermediate riders who are comfortable with some exposure and speed.

Return to Sender finishes on the main street of Derby, opposite the post office - hence the name. From there, you can either call it a day or continue riding on other trails in the area.

The Return to Sender shuttle run is a must-do for any mountain biker visiting Derby. It will give you a taste of the amazing trails that this town has to offer.
