Kitzsteinhorn Glacier Freeride Run Map

Easy and fun freeride route from the top of Kitzsteinhorn. Amazing route on powder days but you'll have to be quick to get first tracks!

Description

Take the main Gipfelbahn lift up to the top of the Glacier. Exit the lift and stick to the right as you are facing down the mountain. Immediately on the right you can see the entrance to the first face (you might have to duck under a barrier).

Head down the North facing face and remain high and up to the right to follow the route. Do not go up onto the high ridge as there is a cliff on the other side.

Follow the run down and remember to cut over to the left when you see Sonnenkarbahn lift station, otherwise you will end up with a walk back!

As with all off-piste routes, remember to take your avalanche gear with you. Although this route isn't steep, there are steep slopes above this line that could have a slide.
