Description
You start from the dam by a nice bike approach, perfect to warm up and to enjoy the view around.
Then you hike up to the Furtschaglhaus and continue trough a big rock field until you reach the glacier.
Here you need to put on crampons to reach the base of the ridge. The rock is lose on the ridge and I really recommend to not take the couloir up, but to go more on the left and go up on the ridge.
At the end you need to put on again the crampons and climb the last icy part, short but exposed here you need to focus to reach safely the summit !
Really enjoyable route, I recommend as a 1 day mission to train speed on alpine terrain or as 2 days mission for a first alpine tour.
Difficulty
Moderate
May involve slightly more complex glacier hikes, easy but possibly long rock ridges and steep snow up to 45 degrees. Equivalent to PD, PD+
