From Rüffikopf via Stuttgarter Hütte to Zürs

Arlberg

Lech - Zuers

A splendid and fairly easy tour from Lech/Rüffikopf over the Stuttgarter Hütte to Zürs. After a short descent right after arriving with the Rüffikopf cable car, the first of two short ascents begins. In about 40 minutes, it goes gently up to a saddle - always with the Wösterspitze in view on the left. On the saddle, skins are removed, and you can enjoy the descent on the south slopes - with the Stuttgarter Hütte already in sight. Depending on preference, the descents can be extended deeper into the valley. Subsequently, the next ascent to the Stuttgarter Hütte begins. Depending on the descent, it's already done in about 40-60 minutes, and the descent into the Paziltal awaits.

From Rüffikopf via Stuttgarter Hütte to Zürs Map

Embark on a magnificent and surprisingly straightforward journey from Lech/Rüffikopf, traversing the Stuttgarter Hütte, and ending in the charming village of Zürs. Picture this: a quick descent immediately upon reaching the Rüffikopf cable car, setting the stage for the first of two brief ascents. It's like a rollercoaster, Alpine style.

Description

After approximately 40 minutes of a leisurely climb, you'll find yourself on a saddle – and don't forget to glance to the left, where the majestic Wösterspitze stands proudly in view. Here, on the saddle, it's time to shed your skins and savor the descent on the sun-kissed southern slopes. As you glide down, the iconic Stuttgarter Hütte beckons from afar, almost like a mirage in the snowy landscape.

Feel free to let your adventurous spirit dictate the extent of your downhill thrill – whether you prefer a brief descent or a plunge deeper into the picturesque valley. But, oh, the choices one must make in the pursuit of snowy bliss!

Now, brace yourself for the next chapter of this alpine escapade – the ascent to the Stuttgarter Hütte. In a swift 40-60 minutes, depending on your descent style, you'll conquer this uphill challenge, and a rewarding descent into the Paziltal awaits. It's like the grand finale of a snow-filled symphony.

And, speaking of symphonies, let's not forget the dramatic overture of the mountains – avalanche danger. While the slopes may tease with their pristine beauty, always be aware of the mountain's capricious sense of humor. Avalanche safety is no joke, so equip yourself with knowledge and gear. After all, laughter is the best medicine, but a well-prepared adventurer is even better. The safest option is not to go. Alternatively, get a guide. I recommend High Zürs Ski Guides. It is very much worth the money.

So, dear thrill-seeker, may your journey be filled with joy, laughter, and a touch of alpine wit as you navigate the snowy wonders of Lech, Rüffikopf, and beyond!
