Aleko hut - Black Peak - Zheleznitsa village Map

Starting point is from Aleko hut. You can reach the hut with bus #66 or by car, or by cabin lift "Simeonovo".

Description

Follow the marked trail to Cherni Vrah (Black Peak) it an easy trail that takes about 1.5 hours to reach the top. Once can go even without skins if the trail has been groomed or it has not snowed a lot of fresh snow the last few days.

Once you reach the summit you start descending toward East looking for Skoparkina Summit and Kupena Summit. You have few options for descend but the most easiest and not remote one is through Fizkulturnika Hut all the way down to Zheleznitsa village.

Descent is straightforward is marked by signs and pillars. The slope is very nice no steeper than 25 degrees mostly less.

Once you pass through the hut you following the signs you will end up in front of a forrest, you can enter and follow the trail or you can go right down a wide and steep lawn that becomes like a funnel / gorge with many trees. You can follow the water "Selska River" and you will end up on the main road next to Zheleznitsa village.

From the main square you can get a bus back to Sofia Bus number 69 or 98.

Enjoy and stay safe.
