This out and back begins at Athabasca Falls, crossing a bridge over it's icy gorge. You'll soon turn onto Geraldine Road, which starts out rather mellow, but turns into a grueling ascent with many switchbacks. The higher you manage to get, the more thrilling your descent will be. This road is usually, but not always, groomed for both classic and skate.
