Cavell Meadows Loop Map

This is an extension of Path of the Glacier Trail at Mount Edith Cavell. Leaving the paved path, you’ll walk on a steeper, but not too difficult, trail that leads higher into the valley. You’ll see hardy subalpine conifers, colorful flowers, and patches of snow lingering well into the summer. You’ll climb to eye level with the Angel Glacier, which clings to the mountainside across the valley.

Description

On this trail, you can go as high as you like and then turn around, or you can complete the loop, which takes you to nearly 2200 meters elevation. This is well above the treeline, where views are unobscured. It is even possible to follow an unmaintained extension to go even higher, but only the official loop is what’s mapped here.
