Coronet Creek is the furthest of three backcountry campgrounds on Lake Maligne. It is far beyond Spirit Island where the ferry unloads, so you’re sure to find absolute solitude out here. Most groups on multi-day canoe trips spend the first night at Fisherman’s Bay, and the second at Coronet Creek. It is then possible to paddle all the way back in one long day, making a two-night trip. If you have more time, however, Coronet Creek is a prime base camp for forays into the backcountry at this remote end of the lake, where you are sure to see few, if any other people. One option is a hike up Coronet Creek to view the Coronet Glacier.
