Heart Mountain is a difficult scramble with route-finding, scree, and loose rock on top of rock slabs. It is technical footing and is very hard to keep balance. As you climb up, you go through steep sections and some rock where you need to actually climb up and over.

Description

Once you are at the summit, you can see the Twin Towers behind. You will follow an easy and beautiful ridge which leads you to a very extreme down climb. Carrying a rope to rappel would be very easy and the safest option. Climbing down is always the hardest.

Once you downclimb this section, the rest of the route is very straightforward. It is a ridge that is not too narrow and has decent footing. You do need to pick your desired route up. You will come back the same way.

The only thing that changes with the view is the unique rock slabs visible of Hear mountain into the canyon.
