This is a popular ski touring route which is generally considered to be difficult. It's very remote, it features medium exposure (e2) and is typically done between December and March. From a low point of 690 m to the maximum altitude of 1.8 km, the route covers 33 km, 1802 vertical metres of ascent and 1108 vertical metres of descent. You'll need skins to complete it safely.

Winter Trail to Starr Basin Cabin access by special permit only. Cabin is in a slide path and use is not officially permitted. Cabin is NOT stocked with firewood or anything.
