This is a popular ski touring route which is generally considered to be difficult. It's very remote, it features medium exposure (e2) and is typically done between August and October. From a low point of 946 m to the maximum altitude of 2.5 km, the route covers 29 km, 2011 vertical metres of ascent and 2048 vertical metres of descent. It's graded 3.1 and Labande grade 3. You'll need rope, skins, ice axe, crampons and glacier kit to complete it safely.

A beautiful traverse from Lonquimay to Malalcahuello by crossing the Sierra Nevada Volcano's Glacier. Highly escenic and some very exposed passes requieres techincal mountaineering skills, at least two nights
