This is a popular freeride skiing route which is generally considered to be difficult. It's not remote, it features medium exposure (e2) and is typically done between December and March. From a low point of 2 km to the maximum altitude of 2.4 km, the route covers 1.7 km, 122 vertical metres of ascent and 411 vertical metres of descent. It's graded 2.3 and Labande grade 2.

Description

A 15-minute walk, starting with the ridge behind the chairlift station, takes you to the summit of Cap des Hittes. The descent is made in the small cirque facing east, then continues in the valley to join the Pène nère track.
