L'Ecuelle's expedition line Map

Firstly ski down the old disused lift line of the Ecuelle chair. This is marked here as the end of the line of "Corne BackSide Junction". Next a hike is needed for about 40 minutes to 1 hour. The line itself is really steep at the entrance and needs some good steep skiing skills as this area is totally isolated in the mountains. There can be some rocks about if there is low snow cover or patches of grass. The line gets well protected from the sun but altitude is pretty low, so make sure there's enough snow before heading in. Avalanche risk is considerable into the highest section of the line but possibly more commonly is a lack of snow in the lower section. The line finishes on the "Back Side Line" which leads back to "L'Essert" gondola after a long way back. A half day is recommended for this line.
