This popular little route manages to seek out some peace and quiet in amongst the hustle and bustle of the Chamonix Valley, and also provides you the opportunity to watch some paragliders swoop down out of the sky and land in the Bois du Bouchet field.
Description
The route starts next to the Chamonix running track and crosses the Bois du Bouchet paragliding landing field and then follows a quiet, tree lined road called the Promenade des Cremeries.
Follow this almost to the entrance of Les Praz village and then make a 180 turn and follow a track through the forest that winds back to the start point.
The area of the Chamonix Valley that this route passes through is peaceful and surprisingly quiet but there will be other trail users around so expect to share certain sections of the trail with hikers, bikers and maybe even the occasional paraglider who missed the landing field!
