This is a showy and very steep and narrow line off the north side of Pic d'Espade. There is a large rock in the middle of it, about halfway down. Depending on how it fills in, this can be an ice buldge, or has a narrow passage way on skiier"s left. One can also rap over it (using your own anchor). More info and photos at www.couloirquest.com. The difficulty rating for this route is utilizing the posted FATMAP criteria.
