Valentine's couloir is unique in that it is so nearby the pistes, yet is hidden from sight and rarely skied. An easy traverse from the top of the Pourteilh lift brings you right to the base of Valentine's. Skin up the apron. Then when the couloir turns to the climber's left, it narrows and steepens a bit, so plan to boot-pack to the top. Some seasons the snow continues to the ridge-top, while other years the snow at the top just thins out to rocks. It is a great ski with a consistent pitch. Happy Valentine's!
