Eligias Gorge (2-day trip)

The route begins from omalos mountain valley and going up to Kalergi Refuge. After a mile's walk on a dirt road, the climb to Melidaou Peak begins. After about two hours of heading down the same path, camp is set for the night, just short of the gorge where there is a flat space. Heading through Eligias Gorge to the St Pavlos beach and completing the route in Agia Roumeli village. From there a ship and small boats depart every day for Sougia or Sfakia.
