Through the west face up to mount Zas Map

If you are an experienced and very fit off-trail hiker, you might want to try this alternative route to Zas, by following a steep washed out, dry creek almost all the way up to the southern rim of Zas. Cautiously crawl up the last, very steep and somewhat exposed 50 meters to reach the rim.

Description

Only do this exposed hike with experienced company and let people know about your plans, as this is a very remote and challenging access to Zas.

The track shown on fatmap is indicative only. It does not follow any hiking path on the way up and on the last kilometer of the way down, as you need to “cross over” to the starting point.

ONLY DO THIS LOOK HIKE COUNTER-CLOCKWISE

!!! DO NOT DO IT IF YOU ARE NOT EXPERIENCED IN FINDING YOUR PATH OFF-TRAIL AND IN HIKING IN STEEP MOUNTAIN AREAS !!!
